This learning experience will last one hour. The first five minutes will be a set-up time to establish the structure of the session. The client will coach the mentor coach for 25-30 minutes around a real-life situation. The mentor coach will be listening for the employment of the ICF competencies. After the coaching, the roles will be switched, and the mentor coach will offer feedback for 20-25 minutes around the competencies. The first part involves asking the client to self-evaluate, and explore what might be done differently. The second part involves the direct coach-to-client feedback, covering each of the competencies, how they were demonstrated, and how to make the competencies stronger. Finally, mentor coach and client will
explore the one or two new ways that the client may wish to handle coaching situations in the future.
